If you have an urgent need for medical assistance but it is not a 999 call emergency situation medical advice is available on NHS 111.
Advice on A&E Attendance
Patients with the following conditions should go to A&E or call 999:
• Choking
• Chest Pain
• Severe Bleeding
• Blacking Out
Patients with the following conditions should go to their nearest walk-in centre or minor injuries clinic:
• Cuts
• Strains
• Rashes
• Sprains
Patients with the following conditions should go to their nearest Pharmacy:
• Diarrhoea
• Runny Nose
• Painful Cough
• Headache
If you are unsure you should first call 111 for advice.
