Clinics
Asthma Clinics/COPD Clinic/CHD Clinic/Diabetic Clinic
By appointment only, these clinics are run by Practice Nurses/HCA and Pharmacist
Annual reviews have now been streamlined and patients will usually only be called in once a year for a full, long term condition, review. This review will be longer than your normal appointments and will involve you consulting with a number of clinicians so we can try and cover everything in the one visit. This will involve a phlebotomist, healthcare assistant, nurse, and pharmacist and on some occasions a GP. You will be invited for this around the month of your birthday and the initial invite will be done in a detailed and hard copy letter. Following this we will try and move these invites to either texts or e-mails.
Phlebotomy (Blood Taking)
Can be done by the Health Care Assistant (by appointment only).

Examination, biopsy and removal of suspicious moles, removal of unsightly skin lumps, cysts and skin tags
Joint Injections
Injection of painful joints such as Elbows, Knees, Shoulders etc can be done by Dr Shoaib Iqbal.
To receive any such procedure the patients must first visit the surgery for an assessment, this may be achieved by making an appointment with any Beechwood healthcare professional. This assessment will determine if the minor surgery or joint injections are required.
Travel Immunisations/Vaccinations
Please make an appointment with our Practice Travel Nurse at least four to six weeks in advance of your holiday to ensure adequate cover. You will initially have a telephone consultation with this nurse to discuss your requirements and discuss any fees that may be applicable. If you choose to go ahead then a further face to face appointment will be booked.
Flu Vaccinations
An influenza vaccination is recommended for patients with diabetes, CHD, asthma, CKD, residents of nursing and residential homes and all patients over 65 years of age as well as pregnant ladies and certain age groups of children.
